Account basics

Sign in to your account.
Manage password and account details from Account.
Set your preferred language in Settings.

Persona and settings

In Settings you can shape how John works:

Persona - who John is and how he talks
Response style and timezone
Language preference for product copy
Model choices for different kinds of work (when exposed in your environment)

Save your changes, then apply them to your private workspace (see below).

Skills and playbooks

Open Skills in the dashboard.

Default playbooks are already available on every workspace.
Enable additional skills from the library when you want domain-specific behavior.
Community playbooks, if shown, are not reviewed by John CEO - enable them only if you accept that risk.

After changing the skill selection, apply changes to your private workspace.

LLM spend

The dashboard shows LLM spend (model usage for your workspace). Use it to understand cost drivers. Billing and credit enforcement may still be in preview - the UI will say so when charges are not active yet.

Email (`@johnceo.email`)

When available:

Enable email in the dashboard.
Choose your username carefully (one rename only).
Set the inbound allowlist (domains and addresses that may mail John).
Apply changes to your private workspace.

Apply changes to your private workspace

Many config updates (persona, skills, Telegram, email) need an Apply step so John picks them up on a refreshed private workspace. Use the dashboard control labeled for applying and rebuilding. Expect a short interruption while the workspace refreshes.

Stopping and starting alone is not always enough for config that must be rebuilt.
