Connections

Connections is the app library: mail, calendar, CRM, project trackers, and many more. John then pulls together what he needs for a task and acts across those tools in one go.

This is not Apps on johnceo.app (sites John builds). It is also not Skills (playbooks). You can use all three.

  1. Open Connections in the john.ceo app.
  2. Search or filter the catalog. The library is large; the UI highlights tools you can connect with the supported sign-in flow.
  3. Choose Connect and complete the provider’s sign-in.
  4. Wait until status shows connected.
  5. Ask John on Slack or Telegram to do something that needs that tool.

You can also start some connections from Slack App Home.

After you connect, give a concrete first ask (see How to delegate well and Recipes).

  • Read - list, search, summarize. These usually run without an approval card.
  • Write - send, create, update, delete. John asks first. Approvals.

Failed tool calls can still use credits because the connection still ran. Usage per toolkit appears on the Connections page and on Usage.

You can connect toolkits that use the hosted sign-in flow. Custom OAuth apps and API-key / no-auth toolkits are not supported in the UI yet.

Slack as a messaging channel is not connected through this catalog. Install Slack from the dashboard. See Slack.

Custom work beyond the catalog is a conversation with us, not a self-serve toggle. Use Contact.

Disconnect anytime from Connections. John loses that access cleanly.

If a connection looks connected but John cannot use it, try disconnect and connect again. Some environments ask you to Update John after the connection layer changes. Follow the banner if it appears. Private workspace.
