John CEO is in early access. Here are the improvements we have shipped.
2026-09-14
Section titled “2026-09-14”- Monthly plans and top-ups now include more work credits for the same USD price.
2026-08-19
Section titled “2026-08-19”- Public note on how memory stays scoped to the people in the conversation: Memory.
- Telegram now uses the same private-workspace memory store as Slack for a personal one-to-one chat. Existing Telegram-only workspaces need Update John to pick this up. Older Telegram notebook memory is not migrated.
2026-08-12
Section titled “2026-08-12”- Approvals marked “Always allow” now stick, so John stops re-asking about routine actions in your connected apps.
- Scheduled tasks that need approval now ask you in Slack instead of silently stopping.
- Deleting and recreating a private workspace now works reliably back-to-back.
- “Hosted in the EU” is now shown across the app and in emails from John.
2026-08-07
Section titled “2026-08-07”- John now pauses when your work credits run out and picks back up after you top up.
- Billing and Usage now show every credit grant, what is left, what was used, and what expired.
- What John reads in a Slack channel stays in that channel. Direct messages never surface in channel answers.
- Memory now recovers on its own after a bad start instead of staying stuck.
2026-08-06
Section titled “2026-08-06”- The whole app now works on phones and tablets, including screens as narrow as 320px.
- Checkout and top-ups now show prices in your local currency where supported.
- Telling John to stop in Slack now works in any language and stops the running task.
- Usage now shows a same-day AI spend estimate.
- AI spend figures are more accurate after an improved usage check.
