Account basics
Section titled “Account basics”- Sign in with a one-time email link.
- Review your email address and sign out from Account.
- Set language and timezone in Settings. Details: Persona and settings.
Persona, models, and behavior
Section titled “Persona, models, and behavior”In Settings you shape who John is, how detailed he is, and which models he uses for Slack tiers (Quick / Everyday / Deep / Max). Save, then Update John when the dashboard says the workspace still has old settings.
Skills and playbooks
Section titled “Skills and playbooks”Open Skills. Default playbooks are always on. Enable more from the library; community playbooks are beta and unreviewed. Skill-only changes reach John within a couple of minutes (no Update John). Details: Skills.
AI spend and work credits
Section titled “AI spend and work credits”Usage shows AI spend and other credit use. Billing is where you pick Solo or Pro, top up, or manage the subscription. Team billing is coming soon. Details: Work Credits and Usage.
Email (@johnceo.email)
Section titled “Email (@johnceo.email)”When available: enable in Settings → Email, pick the username once, set the allowlist, then Update John. Full guide: Email. Trust rules: Security - workspace email.
Apps (johnceo.app)
Section titled “Apps (johnceo.app)”When available: ask John on Slack or Telegram to build a site and put it online. Manage links on Apps. Full guide: Apps.
Update John
Section titled “Update John”Many settings need Update John so they land on a refreshed private workspace (about 3 minutes). Skills usually sync without it. Details: Private workspace.
